How to Convert Images to PDF

Published

To convert an image to PDF, open Pixvilo's Image to PDF tool, add your JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC images, and download the PDFs. Each image becomes its own PDF with a page sized to the image. On Windows and Mac you can also use built-in print and export features.

Method 1: Convert online with Pixvilo

  1. Open the Image to PDF converter.
  2. Drop your images onto the Convert from card.
  3. Click Convert.
  4. Download each PDF, or all of them together as a ZIP.

Pixvilo currently creates one PDF per image. If you need several images in a single multi-page PDF, use one of the built-in methods below.

Method 2: Windows (Microsoft Print to PDF)

  1. Select one or more images in File Explorer.
  2. Right-click and choose Print (on Windows 11, choose Show more options first).
  3. Select Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer.
  4. Choose a layout and paper size, then click Print and name the file.

Selecting several images creates a single multi-page PDF.

Method 3: Mac (Preview)

  1. Select the images in Finder and open them in Preview.
  2. In the sidebar, arrange the thumbnails in the order you want.
  3. Choose File > Print, then click PDF > Save as PDF.

This combines all selected images into one PDF.

Tips for good results

  • Use well-lit, straight photos of documents so the PDF is easy to read.
  • Large photos create large PDFs. If you need a smaller file, resize the image or convert it to JPG at a lower quality first — see PNG vs JPG.
  • Need the reverse? Convert PDF pages to JPG.
